Our Fabrics & Methods
We want you to know the materials and the processes we use to make our fabrics and how they are better. So here’s our directory.
Majority of our clothing is made with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. Organic cotton is a great alternative to regular cotton. It’s grown without the use of toxic pesticides or fertilizers. It also relies heavily on natural rain - meaning it uses 88% less water than regular cotton. By buying organic cotton you are investing in water conservation, cleaner air, better soil and fairer livelihoods.
We also use 100% BCI cotton which works on judicious use of water, pesticides during farming while helping farmers earn a fair price.
We use Linen to blend with our cotton fabrics. Linen is a biodegradable fiber made from flax plant and uses far less water + pesticides compared to conventional cotton. This is a durable fabric ensuring that you're garments last for a long time!
We use digital printing to print these designs as they last longer, increasing the life of the garment. All dyes used to print on the fabric are AZO free and OEKO-TEX® certified.
Low impact or AZO free chemical dyes are synthetic, chemical based dyes that are significantly better for the wearer and the environment compared to conventional dyes as there are no toxic carcinogens, no heavy metals with the dyes and no chlorine bleach. This means less toxic chemical exposure to orders and also less color & chemical run off into the waterways.
